DAY 95: New Plans

I had decided that I wanted to take Shaina hiking, so we had made plans to rent a car and drive to the Pinnacles near the Coromandel Peninsula. My friends Brett and Sarah wanted to join, as did Sarah's twin sister Caroline who was visiting from home.

Things didn't go according to plan, however, and we got a little bit lost. By mid afternoon, we realized we were nowhere near where we should have been and contemplated driving home. Instead, I remembered how close we were to Cathedral Cove. None of the others had never been, so we got back in the car and kept driving.

It was a beautiful day, and driving in New Zealand is always incredible. When we reached Cathedral Cove, it had been strange weather as it was sunny and raining at the same time. We saw tons of rainbows as we hiked down to the cove. As soon as we got there, it started POURING. So we unpacked our food and ate late lunch inside the cave! When the rain stopped, we explored and goofed around until we decided it was time to go home. Sing-a-longs in the car!! Disney-Dee always delivers.
